Communicate is a specialist NHS Electronic
Assistive Technology (EAT) service for the North of
England. We are a small team of expert health
professionals and volunteers, supported by
Bioengineering staff from the Regional Medical Physics
Technical Aid Service.
- We match abilities and environment with technology, to improve communication and increase independence
- We help to build better "total communication" systems using communication aids or "AAC" - Augmentative and Alternative Communication
- We enable independent activity using special " remote control" systems.
